The Hispanic Society Museum & Library. Colección Sorolla, Valencia.

  • Venue: Palau de Correus i Telègrafs, València

  • Permanent location

The Generalitat Valenciana and the Hispanic Society Museum & Library (HSM&L) have signed an agreement to create an exhibition space dedicated to Joaquín Sorolla in València’s historic central post office, which is slated to open in 2026.

The new museum will display more than 220 pieces from the New York-based Hispanic Society Museum & Library, home to the largest collection of the artist’s work outside the Sorolla Museum in Madrid. The exhibited artworks will be validated by Blanca Pons-Sorolla, the artist’s great-granddaughter and leading expert on his oeuvre.
